Bihar Jharkhand Association of Ireland (BJAI), performed and hosted the 4th day of 10 day-festival of the Lord Ganesh Puja ceremony. This was held in the VHCCI temple, Dublin, Ireland on 3rd September 2022.

BJAI organized and welcomed people from all communities to perform and get blessings from Lord Ganesh. This was attended by around 500 devotees. The event began with a traditional Lord Ganesh chant by the famed Bollywood playback singer Mr. Krishna Beuraa, winner of the Stardust Award’s best playback singer in 2008.
Puja celebration was followed by Lord Ganesh worship with full Indian rituals by Pandit Sudhansh Verma. Multiple devotional songs were presented by the talented kids and another set of devotional and regional songs was sung by some melodious seniors of BJAI’s gents & ladies members.
The organizers expressed their thanks to all of the ladies from BJAI who volunteered by preparing the delicious food (prasad). The festival was celebrated with full zeal and splendor by all members. The event had a special community aarti followed by a delicious traditional dinner and prasad distribution to all devotees in the VHCCI temple.
The BJAI organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to all the volunteers and sponsors who helped on the day of the event and during the 4 weeks prior to the event in the planning, and preparations thus making it a roaring success.
“It would be impossible to organize such successful big events without our working team and volunteers’ support. On behalf of BJAI, we thank everyone for their continued support and encouragement. We were overwhelmed with your continued support which is vital for the success of the events organized by BJAI,” one of the BJAI members said.
Live Puja celebration was also screened to millions at home and abroad through BJAI’s official Facebook page.
BJAI requests every person from Bihar & Jharkhand living in Ireland to join their own association and strengthen the association as well as integrate with all communities to showcase the Indian regional culture and tradition.
All devotees and guests were welcomed by BJAI’s President Dr. Deepak Kumar. Events were well-planned and executed with the support of a very enthusiastic team led by Mr. Abhishek Thakur and Mr. Durgesh Tiwari.
Future Events
BJAI Secretary Rakesh Kumar Shekhar was the MC and he mentioned that the currently BJAI’s team is working to organize an event for the Mahaparv Chhath Puja.
This is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, and some parts of Nepal and nowadays it is also celebrated across the globe. This event has been planned to be celebrated in The Park Community Centre, Dublin, Ireland on Sunday, 30 October from 2 pm to 8 pm and Monday, 31 October from 6 am to 10 am.
The event details and program schedules will be released once the arrangements are finalized. Chhath Puja is going to be celebrated for the first time in Ireland and will be open to all communities being organized by BJAI Team.
