Covid 19 vaccine registration portal in Ireland will be open for people aged between 40-50 next week. HSE head Paul Reid said that they will receive information next week regarding their registration. The vaccine rollout goes on at a fair pace and the registration portal is now safe which was under a cyber attack on the health’s IT systems. People in the 50-69 age group can register now. Reid is hoping tor an advice from National Immunization Advisory Committee on the use of Johnson and Johnson and AstraZeneca vaccine for people aged 45-50.
40% of the adult population in the country have received the first dose of vaccine. They are aiming to administer more than 250,000 doses by the end of the week. The vaccination centres are running very well with full capacity and facilities. More than 2 million people are vaccinated.
HSE is still on the work to bring back their IT systems back online one by one as they shut down these on a precautionary basis against a cyber attack. As a result thousands of patients had their appointments cancelled or delayed.
