Tesco consumers are being urged to use their coupons before they expire.
On May 21, thousands of Clubcard coupons valued around $1 million will expire. Customers first received these coupons in March 2021.
Customers are advised to check their Tesco Ireland app before the cutoff time to see whether they still have these coupons on file. The app provides access to all Clubcard coupons.
In recent weeks, the supermarket store has started a poll on spending patterns. Three-quarters of Tesco shoppers quickly misplace their money-off vouchers, according to Dublin Live.
Customer Director of Tesco Ireland, Cathal Nealy, said: “With nearly €1 million worth of Clubcard vouchers to be claimed before May 21st, we’re calling on customers to check their pockets, old envelopes, and their Tesco Ireland app, because there might be money to be found. And let’s face it, every little win counts!”
Customers can convert their awards into vouchers when they have around 150 Clubcard points. Additionally, people have the choice to donate their voucher to Children’s Health Foundation, a charitable partner of Tesco.
As concerns about rising living costs grow, Tesco previously announced it will lower its bread prices by 10%. Following government criticism of Irish supermarkets’ exorbitantly high grocery costs, other Irish shops also applied the cut.
