Four people were arrested yesterday during an anti-immigration protest in Dundalk, County Louth. The demonstration, held on Jocelyn Street, was met with a counter-protest, leading to tensions between the two groups.
According to The journal, the protestors were reportedly targeting a local hostel housing Ukrainian refugees. Gardaí intervened and arrested four individuals under Public Order legislation. The crowd dispersed peacefully around 7:30 PM.
This incident follows a similar protest on July 21, where three people were also arrested.
