Galway-based medical technology firm Aerogen has announced plans to expand its workforce by over 700 as part of a significant multi-million euro growth initiative.
The company, which specializes in aerosol drug delivery systems, is undertaking this expansion to meet growing global demand for its innovative healthcare solutions.
The announcement aligns with the release of Enterprise Ireland’s annual report, which highlights record employment levels among companies supported by the agency.
Aerogen’s new roles will contribute to the ongoing success of the medtech sector and Ireland’s broader innovation-driven economy.
According to the report, businesses backed by Enterprise Ireland achieved a net increase of 6,200 jobs in the past year. Overall employment levels among client companies rose by 3 per cent compared to 2023.
Enterprise Ireland also revealed that over 234,000 people are employed by its client firms, with nearly two-thirds of these jobs located outside Dublin.
