Gardaí have seized around 9kg of suspected ketamine worth an estimated value of €540,000 during a search at a home in South Co Kildare. The discovery was made during a planned operation on Thursday, November 13th.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in Kildare.
The operation was carried out jointly by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the Newbridge Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service. Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
