Heavy rain and possible flood: Met Éireann issues orange, yellow warnings in different counties

Met Éireann has issued multiple weather warnings for Friday and Saturday as heavy rain and strong winds are set to hit parts of the country. Dublin, Wexford, and Wicklow will be under a Status Orange rain warning from 2pm Friday until 11am Saturday, with significant rainfall and possible flooding, especially on higher ground.

A Status Yellow rain warning will also apply to several counties. Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford will be affected from 9am Friday to 9am Saturday, while Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Louth, Meath, Wexford, and Wicklow will be under the same alert from 11am Friday to 11am Saturday. Heavy and persistent rain could lead to flooding, poor visibility, and hazardous travel conditions.

In addition, a Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, and Wicklow from midday Friday until 4am Saturday. Met Éireann warns of strong, gusty northeasterly winds that may cause difficult travel conditions and debris on roads.
