The body of Indian-origin IT professional Aswathi Rajasekharan (31), who had been reported missing, was recovered from the sea at Bray, Co Wicklow, on Sunday morning.

Aswathi had been missing since the previous day. Following a complaint filed by friends, an extensive search operation was launched along the south Dublin coastline, including Dalkey and Killiney. The operation involved the Coast Guard and aerial support.
During the search, her laptop and bag were found near Dalkey beach.
Her body was later brought to hospital, where it was formally identified by friends.
Career and recent move
Aswathi worked as an IT officer at Hayes Consultancy on Grafton Street, Dublin. Originally from Bengaluru, she had first worked in Cherrywood after moving to Ireland and had recently been transferred to Letterkenny as part of her role.
The tragedy occurred while she was preparing to relocate for work, leaving friends and colleagues deeply shocked.
Post-mortem and condolences
Her remains are currently at the morgue at Loughlinstown Hospital, where a post-mortem examination is expected to take place. Funeral arrangements will be announced after formal procedures are completed.
Indian community organisations and colleagues across Ireland have expressed condolences, describing her death as a devastating loss. Community members have said they stand in solidarity with her family and friends during this difficult time.
