Indian Overseas Congress Ireland elects Dunlavin unit leadership

New office bearers announced for Kerala Chapter’s Dunlavin division

The Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) Ireland – Kerala Chapter has elected new office bearers for its Dunlavin Unit, IOC National President Link Winstar Mathew announced.

The newly elected leadership team comprises:

  • President: Liju Jacob
  • Vice President: Gigi Stephen
  • Secretary: Paulson Peedikakkal
  • Joint Secretary: Jebin Menachery
  • Treasurer: Shibin Thankachan

The election reflects the organizational structure of the Indian Overseas Congress, which maintains units across Ireland to represent Indian-origin community interests and maintain connections with Indian political developments.

The Dunlavin Unit serves Indian-origin residents in County Wicklow and surrounding areas, providing a platform for political engagement, community activities, and advocacy on issues affecting the diaspora.

IOC units across Ireland organize cultural events, discuss Indian political affairs, and work on issues affecting Indian-origin communities including immigration policies, employment rights, and integration challenges.

The new leadership team takes office as Ireland’s Indian-origin population continues growing, with increasing organizational sophistication across political, cultural, and professional associations serving the community.
