THIS WEEKEND WILL bring breezy and showery weather for much of the country, according to the latest forecast from Met Éireann.

This morning will begin cloudy with patches of mist and fog developing in some areas. Eastern and southern parts of the country can expect drizzle throughout the morning hours.
By afternoon, showers will move northward from southern areas, spreading across the country. Temperatures today will reach between 10 and 13 degrees.
The rain is expected to clear overnight, but residents should prepare for another band of rain arriving tomorrow morning.
As Friday progresses, this rain will gradually clear northwards, making way for drier conditions and occasional sunny spells. Tomorrow will be slightly warmer with highest temperatures between 12 and 15 degrees, accompanied by moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
According to Met Éireann, any lingering rain will clear northern coastal areas by Saturday night, with overnight temperatures dropping to between 4 and 9 degrees amid light to moderate northeasterly breezes.
Sunday looks to offer a reprieve from the wet conditions, with most areas expected to remain dry. Residents can look forward to spells of spring sunshine and temperatures climbing to between 12 and 16 degrees, with light to moderate east to northeast winds.
