Ireland set for sunny week with temperatures reaching 18 degrees

Met Éireann forecasts continued sunny spells throughout the week as high pressure remains “in charge” of Ireland’s weather, bringing settled conditions and temperatures up to 18 degrees.

Today will see bright spells developing into widespread sunshine, with the highest temperatures expected in western parts of the country where the mercury could reach 18 degrees. Eastern and southern regions will experience cooler conditions, with temperatures around 11 degrees.

The pleasant weather pattern is predicted to continue across the country for several days, with only a slight chance of showery rain affecting southern areas on Thursday. Otherwise, dry conditions and sunshine are expected to dominate the forecast.

Tonight will remain dry and clear with overnight lows between 4 and 8 degrees. Looking ahead to tomorrow, Met Éireann describes it as “another fine day” with widespread sunshine and highest temperatures ranging from 11 to 17 degrees, with eastern and southern parts again experiencing the coolest conditions.

The forecaster attributes the settled spell to a persistent area of high pressure that will maintain control of Ireland’s weather throughout the week, bringing a welcome taste of spring after the winter months.
