A road collision in Co. Galway claimed the life of a man in his 50s.
Around 7.30am on Friday, a two-vehicle collision took place at Moyleen on the N65.
The driver of one of the vehicles, who had died, was transferred to University Hospital Galway and later declared dead.
A post-mortem investigation will be conducted as shortly as possible.
Having sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, the driver of the second vehicle, a boy in his late teens, was brought to the hospital.
The N65 at Moyleen remains closed to traffic to allow for a technical examination of the scene to be carried out.
