Tasnuva Shamim Foundation Ireland (TSFI) in collaboration with Clongriffin Community Association organized a multicultural festival at Father Colling Park in North Dublin on Sunday, 14th May 2023.
The Multicultural Festival was funded by the Community Integration Fund 2022. The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, and Youth and supported by the DCC Parks Department.
People from various nationalities attended the event. “We have over 50 different nationalities living in the area of Clongriffin, Belmayne, and other regions who attended the Clongriffin Multicultural Festival. Over 1000 people attended the event even though the weather was not great. Last year over 3000 people attended because of the pleasant weather,” said the organizers.
Councillor Dearbhail Butler from Green Party attended the event. Locally elected representatives, Councillor Daryl Barron, Fianna Fáil, Supriya Singh, Fine Gael and Councillor Micheál MacDonncha, Sinn Fein, Tom Brabazon, Fianna Fianna Fáil graced the event with their presence.
“The event was a great success,” said the organizers.
Tasnuva Shamim Foundation Ireland T/A Lovin Èire and Clongriffin Community Association have organized Clongriffin Multicultural Festival every year together since 2017 to Promote Multicultural Community Integration to spread Peace, Love & Unity.
Founder of Tasnuva Shamim Foundation Mr. Shagor Shamim said TSFI has fed and supported the homeless at GPO since 2015 where they served over 250 people every week, 1000 people every month, and over 12000 people a year. He said beside supporting the homeless, Tsfi also promotes multicultural community integration to spread Peace, Love & Unity.
Thanks to Bangladesh Community Dublin and Islamic Relief for supporting us with face painting and henna creating a great atmosphere.
The organizers said, “We would like to thank Safco, Turkish Kebab House, Thindi, Mint Cottage, and Mace Clongriffin for supporting us. A very big thanks to our volunteers without their help we couldn’t do it. Over 50 volunteers helped us to succeed in the festival. Finally, we would also like to thank Kinara and Dublin City Council for their valuable help.”
