New leadership elected for Ireland National Mathruvedi of Syro-Malabar church

The National Mathruvedi of the Syro-Malabar Church in Ireland has elected new office bearers for a two-year term following a meeting held on October 1 under the chairmanship of National Director Fr. Saji Ponminissery.

The newly elected leadership team includes Rose Jacob from Dublin as President, Solly Emmanuel from Belfast as Vice President, and Rixie John from Cork as Secretary. Lanju Allen from Galway will serve as Joint Secretary, while Mary Kurian from Dublin takes on the role of Treasurer. C.G. Abraham from Belfast has been appointed PRO, and Sonimol John from Cork will serve as Intercession Coordinator.

Mathruvedi is an organization for married women of the Syro-Malabar Church that focuses on identifying and supporting the spiritual and social roles of women as wives, mothers and homemakers. Its primary objective is “Family Renewal through Mothers.”

The organization conducts various activities aimed at the spiritual growth and social upliftment of women in the expatriate community in Ireland. These initiatives help members organize their lives according to their family and community responsibilities while fostering spiritual development.

Fr. Saji Ponminissery congratulated the newly elected office bearers and expressed his best wishes, hoping that the Irish National Mathruvedi will achieve greater spiritual unity and growth under their leadership over the next two years.

The election of the new leadership team reflects the continued growth and organization of the Syro-Malabar community in Ireland, which has expanded significantly in recent years.
