‘A bungalow with antiquity and white snow all over the roof. Next to it is a cattle shed covered with snow. Baby Jesus resting on a straw mat near the manger while Joseph and Mary stand beside. Angels and kings bowing down to the sights activate the scene.’
So the view does not end there. An Indian family in Clonsilla, Dublin, prepared a spectacular display of bullock carts, Christmas trees, a railway track and a train descending through a tunnel which together create an entire Christmas Village.
The model of the Christmas village built by Belvin Jacob and family has hugely attracted the attention of local people. Belvin Jacob is working as Managing Partner at Decofun Events Limited. His wife Jincy is working as Clinical Nurses Manager at Connolly Hospital.
It was their children Joanne Belvin (Hansfield Educate Together Third Class Student) and Erin Belvin (Hansfield Educate Together Jr. Infants) who took it as a challenge to build a Christmas Village which was their father’s idea.
The whole village and other set up were created over a period of one week using cardboard boxes, disposable thermocol, old cloth, newspapers and plaster of Paris.
Belvin Jacob commented that parents, including children, can easily build such beautiful Christmas plots at low cost.
