The West Link on the M50 was closed last night following a road accident that caused major disruption.
The collision occurred at around 8.20pm near Divis Junction, leading to severe traffic congestion in the area. Authorities closed both directions of the road while emergency crews worked at the scene.
Emergency services arrived shortly after the incident was reported and began clearing debris and removing vehicles to make the route safe.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes as long tailbacks built up across surrounding roads.
