A Russian film crew has started their voyage to make the world’s first feature film in space. Director Klim Shipenko and actor Yulia Peresild started off to the International Space Station in a Russian spacecraft accompanied by the veteran cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov from the space launch facility in Baikonur, Kazakhstan.
The movie is titled ‘Challenge’ and actor Peresild plays the role of a surgeon reaching a spaceship to help a crew member suffering from heart disease. The sequence where she treats the patient will be shot in the real space station.
The shoot is planned for 12 days and the crew will be returning afterwards in another spacecraft to Earth.
