Ryanair has unveiled plans to launch four new international routes from Shannon Airport, marking the airline’s largest ever operation from the Clare-based facility.

The budget carrier will introduce flights to Rome, Warsaw, Poznan and Madrid as part of a $400 million investment program, with services commencing in 2026.
Flights to Rome and Poznan will begin on March 31, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The year-round Madrid service will shift to Wednesday and Sunday departures from March 31 for the summer season. Warsaw will receive the most frequent service, with four weekly flights starting March 30, operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
In addition to the new destinations, Ryanair will increase capacity on five existing routes next summer: Manchester, Alicante, Barcelona-Rias, Lanzarote and Malta.
The expansion will bring Ryanair’s total summer offering from Shannon to 30 routes in 2026, the airline’s most extensive schedule from the airport to date. The company expects to provide 1.4 million seats, including 180,000 during the peak summer months, representing a 15 percent increase compared to last year.
Ray O’Driscoll, interim CEO of Ryanair Group, said the additional routes demonstrated the airline’s continued growth and would give passengers greater choice nationwide. Jason McGuinness, Chief Commercial Officer, described the new services as a clear commitment to strengthening Ireland’s regional connectivity.
