The Department of Health in a Moment of Pride as they Successfully Administered One Million Vaccines in the State

Ireland has completed its one millionth vaccination as the Covid 19 vaccine roll out gains more and more pace. As per the data released by the HSE, 940,883 doses of vaccine have been given in total where 667,182 were first doses and 273,701 were second doses as of April 5th.

Today we'll administer our One Millionth #COVID19 vaccine here in Ireland. We expect almost 19% of the eligible population to have received their dose 1 and almost 8% dose 2. This week we administered 98% of vaccines received within the same week. Future is brighter. @HSELive

HSE head Paul Reid said that 19% of the people who are eligible for the vaccine have received their first dose while 8% among the total eligible population received their second dose.

Reports states that the State will get more and more Covid vaccines and people who didn’t administer the Covid vaccine yet could have no protection what so ever against this dreadful disease.
