Three men in their 20s have been arrested following a car blast in Liverpool hospital in UK, the Counter Terrorism Police North West confirmed. The blast took place at Liverpool Women’s Hospital at 10.59am on Sunday which killed one person and injured another.
According to the police, the blast is treated as an act of terrorism and the three men arrested – aged 29, 26 and 21- will have to face charges accordingly. The reason for blast is still unknown and the the Counter Terrorism Police North West said that they were keep an open mind about the cause.
The police believe that the vehicle under blast was a taxi. The person who died in the blast was a passenger in this car. His identity is not revealed officially. The injured was the driver. The driver is being treated at the hospital and his condition is stable.
Merseyside Police and the Counter Terrorism Police North West are deployed for investigation.
