Two people have died and another has been injured in a collision involving a car transporter and three cars in Carrigaline, Co Cork this morning.
The incident happened at 11 am this morning on the N28 Ringaskiddy Road at the Shannon Park roundabout in Carrigaline.
The third person has been taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment following the incident that occurred just after 11 am.

The occupants of one car, a man and a woman who are understood to be in their 80s, were pronounced dead at the scene.
They have since been removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital.
The driver of a second car was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are not described as life-threatening.
The drivers of the transporter and third car involved in the collision were both medically assessed at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
To allow forensic road traffic crash investigators to examine the area, a section of the road will stay blocked until 6 o’clock. The area’s major employers have all been informed and asked to let their personnel know of the road closure and the diversions.
A huge emergency response was launched following the collision. The truck is believed to have jack-knifed and flipped onto its side, triggering a major incident.
Gardaí said that traffic diversions are expected to remain in place for a number of hours.
