Dublin’s Lucan Sarsfields GAA club is set to host a vibrant Vishu celebration on Sunday, April 14, organized by Satgamaya Satsangh, Ireland’s pioneering Malayali Hindu community. Running from 11 am to 4 pm, this event promises a rich tapestry of Kerala’s cultural heritage, uniting the diaspora in cherished traditions.
At the heart of the festivities lies the essence of Kerala’s unique customs, from crafting kanji in Oturuli to witnessing Kannanam Unni and seeking blessings from elders—a pathway to prosperity deeply rooted in tradition. Satgamaya aims to revive these cultural treasures, fostering a sense of belonging among community members.
Under the guidance of Brahmashree Edassery Raman Namboothiri, the day will commence with the lighting of Bhadradeepam and Vishu pujas, setting a reverent tone. Participants can then partake in Vishukani darshan and Vishukaineetam, followed by the sumptuous Vishusadya, a traditional feast to savor.
Additionally, the event will feature engaging children’s art programs and the relaunch of Balagokulam, a platform nurturing Indian culture and Hindu values among youngsters.
For those eager to participate in the celebration or enroll their children in Balagokulam, inquiries can be directed to 0892510985 and 0852669280.
