A doctor in his 50s has been arrested by Garda for creating fake identities and false medical certificates to claim almost 200 insurances illegally.
The man has been arrested on Friday morning by the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau. As a part of the investigation on fraud insurance claims, Operation Fraction, the man was found guilty and is detained at the North Dublin Garda Station.
He was arrested on suspicion of two categories under Criminal Justice Act 2001, deception, which may cause a five year sentence and using fake identities and certificates which may cause ten years in prison.
