Employment in companies supported by Enterprise Ireland continued to grow last year, with nearly seven in ten new jobs created outside Dublin, according to newly released figures.

In 2025, 2,938 new jobs were created across Enterprise Ireland client companies, bringing total employment in these firms to 232,425. The agency, which supports Irish-owned businesses to grow and compete internationally, said the figures underline the continued strength of regional enterprise.
The report shows that 69% of all new jobs created during the year were located outside Dublin, reflecting ongoing efforts to spread economic growth more evenly across the country.
Enterprise Ireland said job growth was recorded across nine key sectors, highlighting the diversity of Ireland’s enterprise base and the resilience of Irish businesses despite ongoing global economic uncertainty.
The agency described the figures as a positive signal for regional development, noting that strong performance outside Dublin helps support local communities, reduce regional imbalance and create sustainable employment nationwide.
Officials said Enterprise Ireland will continue to focus on helping companies scale, innovate and expand into international markets, while ensuring that job creation benefits all parts of Ireland, not just the capital.
