India, Russia and South Africa are among 23 countries that have been removed from Ireland’s mandatory hotel quarantine list.
On Friday night, Health Minister Stephen Donnelly announced his intention to add one additional country to the list of designated states for mandatory hotel quarantine and remove 23.
India, Russia and South Africa have been removed from the list with effect from today, alongside Bangladesh, Botswana, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Fiji, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Pakistan, Paraguay, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Uganda, Uruguay and Zimbabwe.
Non-exempt passengers from the South American country will enter mandatory hotel quarantine starting from 4am on Tuesday.
People who do not have valid proof of vaccination or recovery arriving in Ireland having been in or transited through designated States in the previous 14 days must enter mandatory hotel quarantine.
