Following an incident in Arklow, County Wicklow, on Tuesday morning, a man in his 40s is in serious condition in the hospital.
Garda officials are requesting witnesses to the assault.
The attack took place at a home in the Ashfield estate, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, at around 2.30 am on Tuesday, August 2. Garda were alerted of the incident.
A 40-year-old male was found with head injuries. He was then taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital for medical treatment for his wounds before being subsequently moved to Beaumont Hospital, where his status is listed as serious.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area from 12.30 am – 2.30 am on Tuesday morning, who may have witnessed anything to come forward.
They are particularly keen that anyone who may have camera footage from this area at this time (including dash-cam) to make this available to investigating gardaí.
