Following the discovery of a woman’s body in Sligo last week, a man in his 30s has been detained on suspicion of murder.
According to Garda statements, they are looking into all the circumstances surrounding the finding of Angela Canavan’s death on May 1st.
After 8:30 pm on Monday, Ms. Canavan’s body, who was in her fifties, was discovered at her house in Sligo town’s St. John’s Terrace.
A post-mortem examination was performed, however for operational reasons, the garda are not releasing the findings.
A guy in his 30s was arrested by garda this morning on suspicion of murder.
At a garda station in the northwest, he is now being questioned.
