Status Yellow ice warning issued as temperatures fall again

Ireland is under a Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning until tomorrow at noon.

Met Éireann is issuing a warning regarding icy patches that can create dangerous driving conditions, particularly on untreated roads and paths.

Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop as low as -5C in some places due to a severe widespread frost, patches of mist and fog, and icy stretches.

Parts of the north, northwest, and southwest will experience intermittent showers of sleet and snow, with some snow accumulations possible, especially on high ground.

A yellow snow and ice warning has been issued by the UK Met Office for Northern Ireland through tomorrow at noon.

According to the report, icy patches and snow showers could cause some disruption.
