Streamlined Online Process For Irish Citizenship Applications For Children

In a move aimed at simplifying the acquisition of Irish citizenship, children born in Ireland who are three years old can now apply online for citizenship. The Irish government’s recent decision extends this convenience to the parents of such children who do not possess Irish citizenship. Previously, applications were exclusively accepted through offline channels.

The user-friendly online application process also covers general citizenship applications, reflecting the government’s commitment to facilitating the citizenship journey for individuals, including the Malayali community.

For minors who have reached the age of three, citizenship applications can be submitted using Form 11 through the online portal.
