The ban on international flights extended till the end of May by the DGCA

The DGCA had changed its decision on suspension of scheduled international flights. They have extended it till May 31 while the earlier deadline was today. The restrictions may not affect the cargo flights and some specially approved flights by the aviation regulator.

India had suspended it’s scheduled flights from March 23, 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Flights were operated under the Vande Bharat Mission with arrangements by some selected countries. Many countries had already banned Indian passengers as the Covid 19 virus is in its destructive phase.

Australia, UK, UAE and many other countries have decided to restrict flights from India. The new statistics show a record 3.86 lakh Covid 19 positive cases which makes it 1.87 crore wholly. Even though many countries ban Indian flights to protect themselves, they have also provided valuable help to survive this harsh situation.
