Two arrested after drugs, cash seized in Limerick searches

During an operation in Limerick this morning, two men were arrested and drugs worth €71,000 were seized.

As part of Operation Tara, garda from Henry Street were assisted by the Regional Armed Support Unit, the Divisional Drugs Unit, and the Community Engagement Unit in searching a number of Limerick properties.

A man in his 30s was arrested when cannabis herb with an estimated street value of 30,000 and €1,250 in cash was discovered during a house search.

During a separate search operation at another residence, a second male, also in his 30s, was arrested.

During the search, cannabis herb valued at roughly €40,000, and cocaine of around €1,000 were seized.

Both men are being held at the Henry Street Garda Station.
