50 new jobs at Galway SaaS company in Channel Mechanics

The company is looking for people to work in software development, quality assurance, sales, marketing, business analysis, and customer success.

Channel Mechanics, an IT firm that has been headquartered in Galway since its start in 2010, has formally unveiled its new offices in the city on 7 October.

The company also stated today that it intends to hire 50 more employees over the next 12 months to support growth and market demand for its platform.

Channel Mechanics offers suppliers and distributors that sell through the channel a cloud-based software-as-a-service platform called ChannelIT.

Its technology assists vendors in simplifying their route to the market. It allows vendors to manage their partner programmes, increase partner loyalty, and grow their businesses.

The company is looking to recruit 50 highly-skilled people, with roles available across software development, QA, sales, marketing, business analysis, and customer success.

The success of the ChannelIT platform has pushed the firm to create offices in the United Kingdom and the United States to meet increased demand for its services.

Channel Mechanics CEO Kenneth Fox said the company was looking forward to welcoming new employees to its new Galway premises, which he described as “state of the art.”

He said the decision to open new offices in Galway was “a culmination of many years of hard work and dedication by the team here at Channel Mechanics.”

“This new HQ will support our expansion plans for the years ahead and we look forward to welcoming customers and new team members to this wonderful new work space,” Fox said.

Channel Mechanics is backed by Enterprise Ireland, whose executive director, Kevin Sherry, welcomed its expansion announcement. “Channel Mechanics’ presence in Galway makes an important contribution to prosperity at regional level as well as to the positioning of Ireland as innovators in the space of channel programme management solutions globally,” he said.

“Our aim is to help more Irish companies like Channel Mechanics to compete and win sustained business in global markets. Enterprise Ireland looks forward to working with the team to continue to support their growth ambitions as they expand their customer base internationally whilst continuing to create jobs here in Ireland.”
