The first edition of India Fest, will be held on the 17th of September 2022. This is one of a kind of celebration by Indians from different regions of India, who have made Ireland their home through the years.
India Fest, organized with the support of the DLR county council, will be held at Kilbogget Park, Cabinteely. This event taking place in South Dublin will be witnessing the biggest gathering of Indians. The fest is also looking forward to welcoming the local Irish as well as people from other nationalities who love the Indian culture, cuisines, traditions and a lot more to join and be part of this extravaganza.
The inauguration function will be attended by Councillor Mary Hanafin, Cathaoirleach, Minister Ossian Smyth, Chief Superintendent Matthew Nyland, and various Irish dignitaries such as TDs, Senators, and Community leaders. The Honorable Ambassador of India to Ireland, Mr. Akhilesh Mishra will also grace the occasion with his presence.
Activities To Look Forward To
Sports Activities
The Fest will begin at 12 pm with activities such as cricket(bowling), archery & high jump for children, which will be aided by the support of professional trainers, and is planned to be a hands-on program that will encourage everyone to learn as well as practice the same. Yoga Sessions
Yoga sessions for adults have also been included as part of this activity session. Fitness, meditation or just for the fun of moving your muscles, Ladies and Gentlemen, gear up to loosen your muscles. Don’t worry, you have lots to munch on later on because there will be lots of mouth-watering delicacies at this event.
Food Stalls
Take a break from cooking as India fest will have a wide spread of Indian Cuisines. Food stalls from different states of India will be available at the event. So whether you are looking for something sweet, spicy, or sour, they have it covered.
Fun For All
Keeping kids active and entertained is definitely on the cards. Carousels, swings, and many such rides will be available for children. Henna stalls and those with traditional dresses and accessories are some of the stalls that can be expected.
Cultural Programs
The cultural programs representing different states of India will begin at 1:30 pm. There are exciting performances from professional artists.
