The German owned discount super market Aldi is planning to open 30 new stores in Ireland. The move is part of a €320 million expansion plan following a surge in annual sales last year.
According to Aldi, the company’s sales increased to a record €2 billion which is an increase of 14% from 2019. The company expects a continued surge in sales this year too.
Aldi has 149 stores across Ireland and employ over 4,650 people from all counties.
The new stores to be opened include Cahersiveen (Co Kerry), Ballina (Co Mayo), Ardee (Co Louth) and Castlecomer (Co Kilkenny).
