An Post has unveiled two new commemorative stamps marking the 150th anniversary of the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). The stamps feature action shots combining both professional athletes and young club players, representing the breadth of Irish rugby from grassroots to international level.

The stamps include images of:
- International players Josh van der Flier and Béibhinn Parsons
- Young club players Sam Kidd from Banbridge and Charlotte Fleming from Ballinasloe
The collection consists of two denominations:
- An ‘N’ rate stamp for domestic postage within Ireland
- A ‘W’ rate stamp for worldwide delivery
An Post’s Peter Quinn emphasized that the stamps recognize the contributions of players and fans at all levels of the sport across Irish sporting life. Meanwhile, IRFU President Declan Madden expressed delight that these anniversary stamps will lead Ireland’s national stamp program for 2025.
Madden highlighted the stamps’ significance in conveying Ireland’s sporting tradition globally, noting they serve as a tribute to both past and present players, as well as their supporters throughout the IRFU’s 150-year history.
According to The Journal, the release represents a significant philatelic celebration of one of Ireland’s most successful sporting organizations, capturing both the elite and community aspects of the game.
