CBD Oil Recalled in Ireland Due to Unsafe Levels of THC

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issued the recall notice of a batch of Jacob Hooy 2.75% CBD Oil due to the presence of unsafe levels of delta‐9‐tetrahydrocannabinol (∆9THC).

The affected product is Jacob Hooy 2.75% CBD Oil, pack size: 10ml  and the batch code: 063939-1307, Sept 2022

Retailers have been instructed to remove the products from sale and consumers are being told not to purchase or consume any of the implicated batches of the unauthorised novel CBD food supplements listed in the table.

FSAI  said in a statement “The above batch of Jacob Hooy 2.75% CBD Oil is unsafe and should not be on the EU market as it contains unsafe levels of delta‐9‐tetrahydrocannabinol (∆9THC) in excess of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) acute reference dose.”
