Happy news for skygazers- a partial lunar eclipse will be visible during the early hours of Friday morning. The moon will pass through the Earth’s shadow which will make the moon look darker than normal. 68% of the moon can be visible from Ireland during the eclipse, the experts say.
“Everyone should watch from 6.30am to 8am as the moon goes down in the west and dawn begins to break,” said David Moore, editor of Astronomy Ireland magazine.
According to the reports, the eclipse will last until 7.58am in Dublin and till 8.08am in Galway.
Ireland had witnessed last lunar eclipse back in July 2019. The next eclipse will be in March 2022.
