Dublin Mountain Walk On 25th June 2023

To those who love to walk as an exercise, here is a chance to raise vital funds to help support One in Four’s work. The Dublin Mountain Walk is scheduled to be held on Sunday 25th June 2023 and is planning to raise funds.

What Level Of Fitness Is Expected

Participants must have a moderate level of fitness. This event is run in conjunction with a professional event company that will provide full support on the day.

Terrain

The terrain will be a mix of forest trails and some open mountain paths.

Starting Point: The GAP in Glencullen Adventure Centre.

Start time: 9 am

Essentials : Walking Boots

There are two great options

10km route- this will take about 3 hours and covers open mountain trails and forest tracks. There is some uphill involved, especially at the start. The summit of Two Rock Mountain will be reached where there will be amazing views over the city and Dublin Bay before descending to forest trails and back to the start.

20km route- this is strenuous and will take 6 hours, possibly more. It covers all types of terrain – open mountain tracks, forest roads, and public roads. There are almost 700 meters of climbing so you need to be fit for this one! The climb will be to several mountain tops and take in about 4 km of public roads.

How to get involved:
