A high-rise building in Dublin’s Blanchardstown has caught fire.
The building houses apartments and is situated close to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Dublin Fire Brigade said that seven units are currently attending the scene.
It added: “Smoke is visible but we have firefighters on scene dealing with the incident.”
The fire was reported to the Gardai at approximately 4:30 pm today.It is not yet known how many people have been affected and if there are injuries.
For emergency services, a number of roads near Blanchardstown Shopping Centre were shut down; they are expected to reopen about 7 o’clock.
