Fire crews from three stations responded to a large fire at commercial premises in Co Galway on Friday.
Around 11 a.m., a fire started at the Xerotech facility in Claregalway’s Corporate Park.
A crew from Athenry was sent to the city to give cover as units from Galway City, Athenry, and Tuam stations responded to the fire.
Employees from neighboring firms were asked to leave their buildings as a precaution, and staff from the premises was safely evacuated to fire assembly points.
Xerotech confirmed the incident was caused by an electrical fault that led to an equipment fire, adding the fire has been brought “fully under control”.
“Nobody was injured and a full investigation is now underway,” a statement from the company added.
