First-Ever Ukrainian Beauty Space In Ireland

First-ever Ukrainian beauty space called the U-beauty has opened in Dublin, Ireland.

The U-beauty, located at the George’s Street Arcade in Dublin began with the help of The Layden Family Group.

The Beginning

The Layden Family Group, owners of the landmark Victorian building, had sought expressions of interest from Ukrainians wishing to set up shop at George’s Street Arcade – with no rent charged for the first three months and all other start-up costs covered.

Anna’s beauty business proposal was accepted and she was given a free unit in Dublin’s George’s Street arcade to run her nail bar. This was a great success. In January 2023, she moved and expanded to the current location: 1-2 Leeson Street Lower in Stephen’s Green.

Anna was on holiday in New York with her boyfriend when the war broke out in February 2022. Unable to return home, they spent weeks in the US before returning to Ireland where she had friends and support.

Anna praised the Irish Government’s response to Ukraine’s humanitarian crisis and believes people in this country are “the kindest in the world”. Her work supports Ukraine in every way possible – the equipment, nail products, and many of the gifts available for purchase are all from Ukraine. On top of that, her nail technicians are absolutely incredible, and the space is warm, welcoming, and full of impeccably skilled women.
