The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly TD, removed five states from the list of designated States for mandatory hotel quarantine.
The states are:
- Bermuda
- Iran
- Montenegro
- Palestine
- Serbia
This means that travellers coming from these countries will not have to enter mandatory hotel quarantine. All travellers into Ireland must have a negative pre-departure test and those from non-designated countries must observe ‘Home Quarantine’.
There are now a total of 56 countries on Ireland’s designated list.
