Gardaí have seized around €100,000 worth of cannabis in an operation targeting the workings of an organised crime gang in Dublin.
According to the reports, a man in his 30s was arrested today by An Garda Síochána in connection with the seizure and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ballymun Garda Station.”
It was a joint operation conducted by units to the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the DMR North Divisional Drugs Unit.
A Revenue spokeswoman revealed, “As part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized 5 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €100,000, following the search, under warrant, of premises in the Ballymun area of Dublin.”
