Indian’s own music band making waves in Ireland

The Indians’ own band, Kumbalam North, has become increasingly popular in Ireland.

Kumbalam North, an Ireland-based music band founded by a group of friends who immigrated to Ireland from Kerala in 2000 or 2001, has gained fans all around Ireland because of its improvisational nature.

The band formed in 2018. At this period, a few young folks from the younger generation joined the band.

Kumbalam North has been able to present programs with songs of different genres and periods due to the participation of a range of age groups. The band excels in performing English, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi songs together.

The band’s lead singer is Manu Mohandas. Along with singing, Vishnu Sivadas plays the acoustic guitar.

Shyam K Dileep, who is amazing on bass and drums, is also the vocalist of the band. Kevin Antony on lead guitar and Siju Devassi on rhythm guitar.

John George on drums and Pradeep John on saxophone play in a magical ensemble with Joseph Mandolil on bass and Aaron Mandolil on keyboards.

Three live stage performances by the Kumbalam North Band have taken place so far this year.

The group’s following performance is scheduled on June 3 at the Mind Mega Mela. Then, on June 17, at the Kerala House Carnival.
