Ireland’s women’s cricket team scored a huge victory by defeating Pakistan by 34 runs in the third and final T20 international in Lahore, winning the series 2-1 and recording their first overseas series victory.
Ireland batted first and reached 167 for four, with Gaby Lewis leading the way with 71 off of just 46 deliveries, including 12 boundaries, and Amy Hunter scoring 40.
In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 133, with captain Laura Delaney and Arlene Kelly both taking three wickets.
In addition, it is the first time an Irish cricket team, either for men or women, has triumphed in a series played on the subcontinent.
