India had celebrated its 73rd Republic Day on 26th January and the Republic of Ireland also showed their love towards India with a special gift. Cork City Hall and Limerick City Hall were illuminated in tricolour to represent the Indian flag on the day.
Ireland and India share a same history of British colonialism and following independence through a number of freedom movements and struggle. Both the countries lost many brave people during the course of respected freedom fights.
