Irish Government confirms funding to HOPE foundation’s hospital in Kolkata

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defence Simon Coveney had announced to provide funds for the HOPE foundation to support the running for their hospital in Kolkata. A sum of €120,000 is being funded by the government to HOPE’s hospital to fight Covid 19 pandemic.

The government hopes that HOPE services and funding will enable India in the fight against Covid and complement the running costs of hospitals. It will help the frontline warriors against the pandemic and treat the patients with nutritious foods and care.

The HOPE hospital was established in Kolkata in 2008 to provide health and medical services to the marginalized sections of the society. Right now, amidst the disastrous second wave of the pandemic, it is running as a full time Covid 19 hospital.
