Irish Rail (Iarnród Éireann) has announced a recruitment campaign to hire new train drivers and electricians across various locations nationwide.
The railway operator has urged interested candidates to apply promptly as they seek to expand their workforce.
The available train driver positions offer a salary that can reach up to €65,000, though the starting salary has not been disclosed in the job listing.
The roles are spread across multiple locations, including the Greater Dublin Area (covering Connolly, Heuston, DART locations, Fairview, and Bray), as well as Athlone, Ballina, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Mallow, Sligo, Waterford, and Westport.
In addition to the train driver roles, Iarnród Éireann is also looking to fill 30 electrician positions. These electrician roles are available in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford, and Kerry, providing opportunities across a broad geographic area.
As part of this recruitment effort, Iarnród Éireann is particularly encouraging women to apply for both the train driver and electrician roles. The company is committed to promoting diversity within its workforce and is seeking to attract more female candidates to these traditionally male-dominated positions.
