Kirby Group Engineering is set to create 50 jobs with the opening of its new €8 million off-site manufacturing facility in Portlaoise in County Laois.
The Limerick-headquarted firm operates in the life sciences, data centre, industrial, power and renewable sectors.
Kirby Group, which employs over 1,800 people across Ireland, is projected to record revenue of over €700 million this year.
The Portlaoise facility, which is backed by Enterprise Ireland, will provide a range of services — from fabrication, welding to engineering and Building Information Modelling.
The company stated that the new facility will be instrumental in driving growth by manufacturing a range of components for projects across the country, the UK, and mainland Europe.
