Kottarakkara Ireland Association launches on Kerala Piravi Day

New cultural organization aims to preserve heritage and unite diaspora community across Ireland

The Kottarakkara Ireland Association (KIA), a cultural organization for residents of Kottarakkara now living in Ireland, was officially established on November 1, 2025, coinciding with Kerala Piravi Day celebrations.

The inaugural meeting took place in Dublin, where members unanimously elected the governing body for 2025-26. The organization aims to preserve Kottarakkara’s cultural heritage in the diaspora while providing a platform for mutual support and community engagement.

Leadership Vision

President-elect Sen Baby stated KIA’s primary objective is uniting Kottarakkara residents across Ireland and transmitting the region’s unique culture to younger generations. He expressed confidence that through collective activities, the association will become an active presence within Ireland’s broader Indian-origin community.
